Woman Arrested for Submitting Fake Medical Certificates to Tamil Nadu Medical Council

Fake Medical Certificates

In a startling incident that unfolded on Thursday, a 40-year-old woman named Ayesha Tanveer from Telangana was apprehended by the Arumbakkam police after attempting to register herself as a doctor with the Tamil Nadu Medical Council using fraudulent MBBS certificates. Investigations revealed that Tanveer had no background or education in the field of medicine.

The elaborate scheme was exposed when the registrar at the Tamil Nadu Medical Council scrutinized the submitted certificates and discerned their illegitimacy. Promptly recognizing the fake medical degree certificates, the registrar wasted no time in lodging a formal complaint with the Arumbakkam police.

Upon further investigation, it was confirmed that Ayesha Tanveer had never pursued a medical education but had instead acquired counterfeit degree certificates. Law enforcement agencies are now diligently working to trace and apprehend the individual responsible for crafting the fraudulent documents.

The Arumbakkam police have pressed charges of cheating against Ayesha Tanveer, and she has been remanded in judicial custody following a court hearing. This incident has raised concerns about the vulnerability of regulatory systems and the need for enhanced measures to authenticate the credentials of individuals in sensitive professions such as medicine.
